MyoTape + Mandibular Advancement Devices
A complement to MAD therapy — not a replacement.
Oral appliances are an effective, well-tolerated therapy that fits easily into a person’s nightly routine from the very first night. They reposition the jaw to help hold the airway open — what they do not do is keep the lips together. Used alongside the appliance, MyoTape rests the lips gently closed and supports nasal breathing through the night.
10 reasons MyoTape sits well alongside MAD therapy
Not to replace your therapy — to help it work the way it's meant to.
It addresses a variable the device does not.
The MAD advances the jaw; MyoTape supports the lips staying gently closed, so nasal breathing is maintained through the night.
It surrounds your lips — it never seals your mouth shut.
A light elastic sits around the lips. The mouth is never covered, so the wearer can open it, talk or cough at any time. That open design is exactly why it is well tolerated.
That open design is exactly why it feels safe.
It complements the device — it does not replace it.
MyoTape is not a substitute for your device. It addresses lip closure, which the appliance was not designed to control. The device continues to be worn as prescribed.
Less mouth breathing, less dry mouth.
Open-mouth sleep dries everything out; keeping the lips gently closed supports nasal breathing. Many users report that the morning dry mouth simply settles.
Quieter, calmer nights.
An open mouth tends to mean more snoring and disruption. With the lips resting closed, many users — and their partners — report calmer nights.
It slots into the existing routine.
No new device, nothing to fit or adjust. One strip before bed, appliance in as normal — about ten seconds added to the routine.
Gentle enough for nightly wear.
Soft, hypoallergenic cotton and a skin-friendly, latex-free adhesive, made to be worn every night and peel away cleanly.
Fewer everyday complaints.
Less drooling, a drier pillow, and less waking thirsty — the small things users
report make the appliance more pleasant to live with.

Common questions
Is it safe to use with my CPAP?
Yes. MyoTape is designed to work alongside CPAP, BiPAP and APAP therapy with any mask type. It surrounds your lips rather than sealing them, so you can open your mouth, talk, cough or take a sip of water at any time. Always continue your therapy as prescribed, and check with your doctor or sleep specialist if you're unsure.
Will it seal my mouth shut?
No — and this is the question we get most. The elastic sits around your lips and gently encourages them to rest together. Your mouth is never covered and never sealed, so you stay in full control all night.
How does it help my nasal CPAP?
A nasal CPAP holds your airway open by keeping steady pressure inside it, and that pressure needs to stay contained to work well. If your mouth falls open, pressure escapes and the system becomes less efficient. By keeping your lips gently closed, MyoTape helps the pressure stay where it belongs so your prescribed therapy can do its job.
What if my nose is blocked?
MyoTape works by encouraging nasal breathing, so it isn't suitable on nights when your nose is congested from a cold or allergies. If you have ongoing difficulty breathing through your nose, speak to your doctor before use.
How do I use it?
Peel one strip, stretch it slightly, and apply it horizontally around your lips with your mouth gently closed. Put your CPAP mask on as normal. In the morning, peel it away slowly. That's it — about ten seconds added to your routine.
