Mouth Tape for Kids

I came to find MyoTape after reading the book ‘Breathe’ and being on a quest to help my 5 year old daughter who breathes through her mouth. I’m unsure at the moment if she has any issues with tonsils/adenoids which may be causing this.

In relation to sleep she was previously very restless, hyper-flexed her neck back (presumably to get more air in?), and sleeping through was very rare.

The impact of the tape was instant and she now has the most peaceful sleep (hardly moves), sleeps with a normal head posture and typically sleeps through the night up to 12 hours! I have to put my ear right up to her to hear her breathe now.

During the day I am seeing some transfer of nasal breathing but I do put MyoTape on if she’s watching a film to help reinforce this. She has been using this tape for 4 weeks so looking forward to observing other changes!

I work as a Speech and Language Therapist and have recommended this tape to other therapists and also to families I work with (with age appropriate children) as well as to friends.

The Oxygen Advantage website has been such a great resource and as such I am half way through the their online Functional Breathing Training course.

If I forget, the kids happily remind me to put their mouth tape on.
